Single Stream Recycling

Category: Sanitation / Trash

Q : How does the City's single stream recycling work?

A: Your single stream recycling and trash is picked up one day a week. You may set out trash in either a can up to 35 gallons or in closed bags. If you would like to show that a can holds trash, you may mark a large "T" in an obvious place on the can. If you would like to show that a can or other container holds single-stream recycling, you may mark it with a large "R". You can place as many cans or bags out as needed to dispose of your recycling and trash, there is no limit on the volume of materials that may be discarded. However, be aware there is a 35 gallon and 75 pound weight limit per trash/recycling can or bag.
