EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES ACTIVATED

The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

Mayor Proclaims ProEnergy Services Day

(SEDALIA, MISSOURI) : On Thursday, August 20, 2009, Mayor Mary Elaine Horn issued a proclamation designating the day as ProEnergy Services Day in Sedalia. 

Text of Proclamation

WHEREAS: In 2002, Jeff Cannon identified a need for cost-effective, safe and reliable service to the energy industry.  Since that time, ProEnergy has grown to include more than 450 employees, with offices in 7 countries; and

WHEREAS: While this company has positioned itself as a single-source service provider to the global energy industry, it has also made significant local financial and personal investments by placing their national headquarters here in Sedalia, Missouri; and

WHEREAS: Sedalia is proud and honored to claim ProEnergy Services as one of its leading industries. We welcome this opportunity to recognize ProEnergy’s positive impact on the City of Sedalia and appreciate their many contributions to our community.

NOW THEREFORE, I, MARY ELAINE HORN, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF SEDALIA, MISSOURI do hereby proclaim today, August 20, 2009 in the City of Sedalia as "PROENERGY SERVICES DAY" in Sedalia, Missouri and call upon all citizens of Sedalia to participate in this observance.
