EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES ACTIVATED

The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

City Council Meets Via Teleconference

(SEDALIA, MISSOURI & OSAGE BEACH, MISSOURI) : On Monday, October 5, 2009, the Sedalia City Council met, for the first time, by teleconference from different locations.  Mayor Mary Elaine Horn, along with Councilmembers Tony Arbisi and Bob Cross, participated in the meeting while attending the 2009 Missouri Municipal League (MML) Conference in Osage Beach, Missouri.

City Council met at 6:40 pm for the Pre-Council Meetings and then reconvened at 7:00 pm for the Regular Council Meeting.  Members attending by teleconference joined the rest of the Council in voting to award bids for police department computer equipment, employee health/dental/vision/life insurance coverage and to pass several ordinances and resolutions.
