The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

City Executes Separation Agreement

(SEDALIA, MISSOURI) : The Mayor and City Council met in closed session on Monday, December 20, 2010 in accordance with Missouri Revised Statutes (RSMo) Section 610.021 (1) and (3) for matters of advice from legal counsel and matters of personnel. While in closed session, the City Council authorized Mayor Elaine Horn to execute a separation agreement with City Administrator Frank Myers. Myers had been an employee of the City since April of this year. The Council voted unanimously to authorize the Mayor to execute the agreement on behalf of the City. All Councilmembers were present for the vote.

The separation agreement was presented to Mr. Myers on November 24, 2010. Under the terms of the agreement, Mr. Myers had up to twenty-one (21) days to consider the agreement and then a seven (7) day revocation period after the agreement was signed by Mr. Myers. Mr. Myers presented a signed agreement to the City on December 10, 2010 and the revocation period expired on December 17, 2010. Mayor Horn signed the agreement earlier this morning.
