EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES ACTIVATED

The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

Mayor Kicks Off 2007 Santa Campaign

(SEDALIA, MISSOURI) : Mayor Bob Wasson issued a proclamation today kicking off the 2007 Community Santa Campaign in Sedalia. 

Text of Proclamation

"WHEREAS: One of the most pressing needs in our society today is our generous assistance to those less fortunate than ourselves; and

WHEREAS: The Community Santa Campaign is a community-wide program offering holiday assistance to foster children, low-income families, the elderly and disabled, and involves the cooperative efforts of many community volunteers; and

WHEREAS: Funding for this project is dependent entirely upon donations from the community. Nothing for the campaign is purchased with tax dollars, United Way contributions, or taken from funds of any other established government program.

NOW THEREFORE, I, Bob Wasson, Mayor of the City of Sedalia, Missouri, do hereby issue this proclamation to endorse this worthy cause, and to appeal to the demonstrated humanity and generosity of our citizens to support the unselfish efforts of the Community Santa Campaign."
