The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

Limited Alley Access and Change in Trash Pickup Location During Sanitary Sewer Repairs

Beginning August 15, 2011


(SEDALIA, MISSOURI): The City will be conducting extensive sanitary sewer work in an area between S. Quincy Avenue and S. Prospect Avenue and between W. 12th Street and W. 20th Street beginning August 15th. These repairs are scheduled for completion by the end of November 2011. During this time, there may be limited access to alleyways in the above stated area.


Please note that effective August 15th, all trash pickup for homes in the above stated area will be picked up in the front of residences instead of the alley.
