The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

10/23/2018 - Sedalia Secures $1M Grant for Katy Trail Connection Project
The City of Sedalia in partnership with Katy Trails Sedalia, Inc. has secured a $1,000,000 grant through the Missouri Department of Natural Resources - Division of State Parks (MDNR-DSP) and its' Recreational Trails Program (RTP). The grant will fund construction of a new section of the Katy Trail coming from Boonville Road to the Katy Depot located at 600 E. 3rd Street, Sedalia, Missouri.
