5/4/2020 - Several City of Sedalia Facilities to Increase Measured Public Access Monday, May 4, 2020

Several City of Sedalia facilities, including the Municipal Building at 200 S. Osage Avenue, will allow measured public access starting on Monday, May 4, 2020. Listed below are some of the guidelines the City will have in place:    

City Municipal Building:
• Sneeze guards have been installed
• Tape markers have been strategically placed on the floor to provide for
   social distancing
• Chairs have been moved to provide for social distancing
• Pens will be rotated and disinfected between users
• Commonly touched surfaces will be disinfected regularly
• Court lobby will be limited to 3 people at a time. Restrooms in this area
   will be used to require everyone to wash hands as they enter. The doors
   will have signage to separate those having business with the court and
   those having other business in city hall.
• Disposable masks will be provided and encouraged at all times, and
   required at times where we cannot maintain social distancing of 6 feet
• Access to upstairs will be by appointment only for the public
• Signage is being installed to help maintain these precautions

Sedalia Regional Airport Terminal:
• Rotate and disinfect pens between different users
• Commonly touched surfaces will be disinfected regularly
• Masks will be available and encouraged for all individuals in the terminal
• Encourage social distancing of 6 feet (note family units are not required to
   distance from each other)

Sedalia Animal Shelter:
• Sneeze guards have been installed
• Rotate and disinfect pens between different users
• Commonly touched surfaces will be disinfected regularly
• Tape markers have been strategically placed on the floor to provide for
   social distancing
• No more than 5 members from the public will be allowed in the facility at
   one time
• Masks will be available and required for individuals in the lobby

Cemetery Office:
• Rotate and disinfect pens between different users
• Commonly touched surfaces will be disinfected regularly
• Masks will be available and encouraged for all individuals in the office
• Encourage social distancing of 6 feet (note family units are not required to
   distance from each other)

The following facilities will continue limited access to employees only:

Sedalia Fire Department
Sedalia Police Department           
Street Department           
Water Pollution Control           
Sedalia Water Plants

Sedalia Parks & Rec: The Sedalia Parks & Rec will issue separate notices as things change.

Sedalia Public Library: Per their April 29, 2020 press release, the Sedalia Public Library’s drop box will be available starting Monday, May 4. The library plans to reopen to the public with limited services available on May 11, 2020.
