The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

Closed for Repair
 October 22-23, 2012

(Sedalia, Missouri): On Monday, October 22, beginning at 9:00 a.m., Union Pacific Railroad will close the Emmet Avenue railroad crossing for repairs, weather permitting. This crossing will be closed to through traffic on Monday, October 22 and Tuesday, October 23. 

The Emmet Avenue railroad crossing will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2012.
