EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES ACTIVATED

The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

 New City Pick Up On Demand Service Replaces
Spring/Fall Cleanup Weeks  
 

(SEDALIA, MISSOURI): The City of Sedalia’s new Pick Up On Demand service is now in effect and pickups can be scheduled at your convenience. Each property address will receive two free pickups per calendar year. To schedule the pickup’s please call 660-827-7820. 

The amount of refuse will be limited to 2 cubic yards which is equivalent to a regular size pickup truck bed. The items need to be placed in front of the house at the curb away from low hanging wires and tree limbs. Vehicles will also need to be moved if they are in front of the refuse.

The following items WILL NOT be picked up: yard waste, building materials that are not in regular size refuse bags, hazardous waste, tires, or batteries. This service will replace the spring and fall cleanup weeks.
