The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

(SEDALIA, MISSOURI) : The City of Sedalia recognized five staff members for their years of service at a meeting of the City Council last evening.  The following staff members were recognized :

    • Robert Lawson - Water Pollution Control - 20 Years 
    • William Broaddus - Police Department - 20 Years 
    • Loretta Parrish - Police Department - 10 Years 
    • Raymond Donlon - Water Pollution Control - 10 Years 
    • Roy Bailey - Street Department - 5 Years

The City of Sedalia employs more than 200 individuals to serve the needs of the City and its citizens.  These employees, across all City departments, work together as a team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of City government and services.
