EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES ACTIVATED

The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

Mayor Galliher Appointed to Missouri Municipal League Board of Directors


During the annual September Missouri Municipal League (MML) Conference in St. Charles, Missouri, Sedalia Mayor Stephen Galliher was appointed to the MML Board of Directors. "I consider it a privilege to serve on the Missouri Municipal League Board; they are truly dedicated in supporting our Missouri communities," stated Mayor Galliher Tuesday morning after learning of his appointment. "I'm honored to be part of an organization that provides such vital services to its members."

The Missouri Municipal League is an independent, statewide, not-for-profit association that provides a united voice for municipalities across Missouri. Founded in 1934, MML serves more than 675 municipalities with training, resources and legislative advocacy for local government success.
