EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES ACTIVATED

The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

2/18/2015 - City of Sedalia Tree Inventory

City of Sedalia Tree Inventory

The City of Sedalia was recently awarded a TRIM grant through the Missouri Department of Conservation for a partial inventory of public street right-of-way trees.  The contractor with Davey Resource Group will be starting collecting data on the trees today, February 18, 2015 and should be completed in three weeks.  There are two approximate boundaries included in this inventory.  The first is Mill Street east to Heard Avenue, 5th Street north to Boonville Avenue.  The second is Grand Avenue east to Marshall Avenue, 16th Street north to Broadway Boulevard.  Data collected will include, but was not limited to, location, species, tree size, stems, condition, location rating, primary maintenance needs, secondary maintenance needs, risk assessment, risk rating, and observations.
