The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

5/9/2015 - Mayor Stephen Galliher Proclaims May 9th as "Letter Carriers Food Drive Day"

On May 5, Mayor Stephen Galliher joined community partners at U.S. Post Office in Sedalia to proclaim Saturday, May 9, 2015 as "Letter Carriers Food Drive Day."

Residents are asked to bring their food donations to the U.S. Post Office located at 405 E. 5th Street, or place a food donation by their mailboxes on Saturday, May 9th, for their letter carrier to pick up and deliver to the food bank.
