The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

(SEDALIA, MISSOURI) : Mayor Bob Wasson, who was at his desk at City Hall yesterday, is resting comfortably today after three and half hours of surgery at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri in order to remove a small mass on his brain. The mass was diagnosed as a metastatic brain tumor.

Physicians state the surgery was a success and anticipate that Mayor Wasson may be released within the next several days. Mayor Wasson will continue his medical treatment with personal physicians in Sedalia, Missouri.
