EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES ACTIVATED

The City of Sedalia has activated the EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 as the National Weather Service has reported the potential for steadily falling temperatures with rain beginning late Friday afternoon, changing over to snow with accumulations from 1-3 inches overnight. Please click here to view the January 18, 2019 public service announcement issued by the City of Sedalia.

Drivers who routinely park on streets designated as Emergency Snow Routes will need to move their vehicles to other locations as snow is expected to accumulate during nighttime hours. City crews will be working overnight Friday to ensure Emergency Snow Routes remain open. Cars remaining parked on emergency snow routes may be towed or plowed in as crews work to keep these roadways open for emergency vehicles.

12/1/2015 - New City Service to Replace Annual Leaf Pickup
Due to citizens being able to dispose of their leaves 24 hours a day/7 days a week at the City of Sedalia's Yard Waste facility at 28th and New York, the City will no longer host a Leaf Pickup event in December.

However, a leaf pickup request will be added to our online Citizens Service Request for residents unable to transport leaves to the Yard Waste facility. This option will be available on the City of Sedalia website, www.cityofsedalia.com, starting December 1, 2015 to January 15, 2016.
